MY EGO IN UAE

SVILUPPO E ACCELERAZIONE COMMERCIALE PER START UP E IMPRESE ITALIANE / ESTERE

Background

COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT AND ACCELERATION FOR START UP AND ITALIAN / FOREIGN COMPANIES

Background

Connectivity, mobility and sustainability. These are the issues of the current industrial policy in the UAE, with a clear focus on Expo
2020. The Arab Emirates are projected towards a second phase of
industrialization that can generate national GDP, in order to avoid future
economic bubbles, as has already happened in the past. . Among the industrial strategies to be pursued, that of industry 2.0 plays a fundamental role in the country’s politics. In the space of a few years the UAE state has seen the proliferation of incubators and accelerators made in UAE® with the clear objective of starting to create an internal economic chain. The Smart Dubai local political program confirms what has been described.
Incubators such as In5 Dubai and Dubai Future Accelerator – main local tech hubs – are just over three years old and have the arduous task of positioning Dubai as the technology hub of the MEA area.
The current situation sees these incubators lacking raw materials (ideas, start-up entrepreneurs) and a high demand from local companies called upon to support the national strategy.
